"I started my career as a painting restorer, but after I started painting my own works, I chose the creative path. For nearly two decades, my painting has been defined by a way of thinking based on traditional oil technique and visual representation, while my paintings have also been colored by magical and symbolic elements. A few years ago, my experimental spirit led me to technical innovations: I became interested in embroidering on paintings. I was not interested in the function of decoration, but in the possibility of a new space opening up. Out of necessity (my allergy to chemicals and dyes) led me to explore new waters, both technically and in terms of visual thinking. In my paintings, in addition to figurative elements and accentuated visuals, I have often used story as a key element: myths, fairy tales, biblical stories, or even invisible realms intertwined with everyday human life. I have always been interested in how everyday consciousness and things invisible to the eye can be expressed in images. More recently, I have been interested in using simpler tools and motifs based on symbols to create images that flow from the collective or from my own inner world."
